The luminaire housing shall be manufactured from high-pressure die-cast aluminum alloy, minimum EN AC-46000 or EN AC-44100 equivalent. The housing shall ensure structural integrity, mechanical stability, and long-term outdoor durability.
The housing shall achieve a minimum impact resistance rating of IK08, and up to IK10 where required by project specification. The construction shall be suitable for installation in urban, suburban, and highway environments.
The luminaire housing shall provide a minimum protection rating of IP66, ensuring complete protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets under all operating conditions.
The surface treatment shall consist of a powder-coated finish with optional corrosion protection classes C3, C4, or C5, suitable for urban, industrial, or coastal environments. The coating shall ensure long-term resistance to corrosion, UV exposure, and environmental degradation.
The housing design shall ensure efficient passive thermal dissipation to maintain optimal operating conditions for LED modules and driver systems under ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C.
The luminaire shall be equipped with a tool-free opening mechanism, allowing safe and rapid access to internal components. The design shall support simplified maintenance and reduced lifecycle service time.
The housing shall support modular integration of LED modules, drivers, and control units, enabling easy replacement and upgrade without replacement of the entire luminaire.
The housing shall be compatible with multiple optical lens systems and shall support compliance with EN 13201 road lighting requirements for different road classifications.
The housing shall be designed to accommodate Zhaga and/or NEMA socket interfaces, enabling integration with photocontrol devices, dimming systems (0–10V, DALI, DALI 2.0, D4i), and smart city lighting networks.
The housing shall be designed to support full compliance of the complete luminaire with applicable EU standards, including EN 60598, CE, RoHS, and ENEC certification requirements.
